Starry night

The one painting that always makes me dream

I am what you would call an avid dreamer. Goals and objectives are something almost every one has, but when I have to plan out my goals, they are always extremely ambitious because challenges are super exciting. That feeling of overcoming something in which you’ve worked so hard to reach is nothing short of astonishing to me. There is truly nothing like it, and typically what I like to do before I arrange my next main objective is to pull up the curtains to my room at night and just look at the stars. In truth, saying this in a post kinda sounds a little clichéd and has me laughing at myself, but in all seriousness, this works wonders as far as clearing up my mind of unnecessary things, and only focusing on what I need to do to achieve these goals step by step. Another hobby that I thoroughly enjoy is looking at and appreciating great art, and the artist that make them. One of my favorite artist is Vincent van Gogh, simply because of how much emotion he puts in his paintings, and there is no painting that hits that same level of emotion and wonder quite like his famous starry night. There is so much I can talk about as far as why this work of art inspires me, but one of the obvious reasons is because of the display of the night sky with the village in the background. The painting is a depiction of the view from the window of his temporary room at Saint-Remy-de-Provence. This imagery to me is very dreamy and also provokes thoughts of grandiose and progressive purposes. Positivity is another trait that you can get from this painting as it has also cured my depression on multiple occasions. Overall, I have been able to be as ambitious as my heart desires while also knocking down my goals and staying happy in life, and if I ever do get sad or feel unaccomplished I will always go back to the painting that inspired me.
